Nexus terms and conditions.
These terms explain the Nexus software service, launch support commitment and the rights attached to each licence.
Last updated: 19 July 2026. Nexus is supplied by HPY Labs Limited. The specific price, licence, currency and any offer-specific terms shown before payment form part of your agreement with us.
Released software
Nexus is released, production-ready software. It is not a beta, preview or reduced-function edition. It has been designed and tested for stable day-to-day use across compatible household media, control and automation systems.
Initial public launch
The Founding 100 offer forms part of the first broader public deployment of Nexus across homes operated by customers outside HPY Labs Limited. Although Nexus is stable and ready to use, this wider range of homes, devices, networks and third-party services may reveal issues that were not encountered in earlier deployments.
During this initial public launch period, HPY Labs Limited commits to the continuous development of Nexus and to prioritising a rapid response to reported issues that materially affect stability or availability. We will investigate reproducible issues, provide workarounds where reasonably possible and deliver appropriate fixes through software updates. Response and resolution times may vary with severity, complexity, access to diagnostic information and any dependency on a third-party provider.
Software plans and updates
Lifetime, Annual and Monthly plans have different rights to use Nexus and receive updates. A Lifetime Licence is perpetual: it gives the customer the right to keep using the latest Nexus software version covered by their active entitlement forever. The licence does not expire merely because optional software maintenance ends, and the customer does not have to buy Nexus again.
Standard Lifetime Licences include software maintenance and updates for the first 12 months. After that period, maintenance is optional and may be renewed annually. If maintenance lapses, later software releases are not included, but the entitled version continues working. Maintenance may be restarted at any time without backdated charges; the renewed 12-month entitlement begins on the renewal date and restores access to current software updates.
A perpetual licence cannot guarantee that every third-party integration or external service will remain available indefinitely. Offer-specific commitments shown before purchase form part of the applicable licence. In particular, Founding 100 licences include future Nexus software updates for the lifetime of the licence at no additional charge.
Compatibility and connected systems
Nexus operates with compatible devices, local networks and third-party products. Connected products and services remain subject to their manufacturers’ availability, technical changes, accounts, charges, terms and privacy policies. HPY Labs Limited cannot guarantee the continued operation of a third-party service, but will make reasonable efforts to maintain or adapt supported integrations where practicable.
Availability and maintenance
We aim to keep Nexus stable and available. Updates, maintenance, faults in local equipment or networks, security work and changes to external services may occasionally interrupt or limit particular functions. Nothing in these terms promises uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Reporting and support
Customers should report an issue with enough information for us to understand and reproduce it. Diagnostic information is shared only through the support and consent process described in our privacy notice. Founding customers may also be invited to the Nexus community and Discord to share feedback, request features and help improve the system.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights relating to digital content. If Nexus does not conform to the contract, the remedies available under applicable law remain available to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal or operational changes. A change will not retrospectively remove a paid entitlement. Where a material change affects an active customer, we will provide reasonable notice through the Nexus account, website or supplied contact details.
